Please no. Career year and don't want.i know Cruz was older but he got $57 million for four years. Trumbo at $70 million is a terrible  idea.

Carter is so good, they went out and got a replacement, that is questionable about hitting big league pitching.

I like Trumbo but he's a DH to this team.  Is he really that much more valuable than a Mancini/Pedro platoon at DH.  I'm assuming that you can get Pedro for 2/14ish.  So 60 million better?

Go for a cheap platoon at DH and then spend on Fowler/Batista/Saunders for RF.

Yeah, I have a sick feeling he is going to take it. Just seems like this year's version of the Chris Davis negotiation. Maybe Trumbo is the only guy on the market that Peter will sign off on. Between Trumbo and Davis, that would be over $200M committed that could have been spent on Manny.

I've got it -- the Orioles trade Manny for a truckload after 2017 and move Chris Davis over to 3B with Trumbo at 1B.

i thought $4/45 would be too much for him. Can we find a team to offer him $20 million a year?. Please.

Of course, Ortiz was making 16 million last year, and more, if he had stuck around this year, but thats beside the point.

Sure you can, but to get Mancini his playing time we're going to see Trumbo in RF again (provided he signs).

Well, all I can say is, he better be living in RF at Camden Yards this winter.
