He stays in the job because he has a contract until the end of this season.  You don't just up and leave, breaking a contract in the process, because you aren't getting what you think you deserve.

Nah, just have your flunkies leak to the press that the bad decisions really weren’t mine.

What happened? I'm getting my son in bed.

Foul pop down RF line.   Landed fair, took an odd spin and wound up on the back side of the tarp against the wall.

Adam slowed down bigtime between 1st and 2nd, Betts got the ball and gunned him down at 2nd (though the play was super close and could have been a bad call).

Buck challenged, not hte play at 2nd, but that the ball should have been dead once it was on the back side of the tarp against the wall.

Lost the challenge.

We'll never know if he had challenged the play at 2nd if he would have won that.

Valencia followed up with a hit so Adam's lack of hustle, and/or the replay ump's bad decision, cost us a run.

So if he doesn’t pick it up is it lodged?  So  Betts unlodged it?

They said the rule is like if it gets lodged under the padding in the OF. As long as a fielder can get the ball out, it's considered a live ball.

The ball was wedged behind the tarp. That is lodged to me. The fact that Betts threw it back is irrelevant.

This is where I'm at.  The other mention of the tarp in the ground rules is:

  • A ball striking the field tarp and rebounding onto the playing field is in play.

This ball never came back out onto the field.  Dead ball.
