Much appreciated Luke. I'm intrigued by a slew of guys for the O's 42nd and 71st picks, including LHP Antoine Kelly, OF Trejyn Fletcher, RHP Ryan Garcia, SS Matthew Lugo, and 3B/1B/OF Rece Hinds. I wasn't familiar with RHP Andrew Dalquist, but he'd be another to consider.  Good stuff, as always.

Recent reports have Baty and Cavaco going much higher.  I have thought for a while HS prospects are generally underrated entering the spring.  Like the Antoine Kelly write up.  Will be interesting to see if the top of our FO prefers college prospects as the Astros seemed to favor or if we do go w several HS guys in our top 10 as our scouts are used to finding.  I think most overslot guys are HSers.

Thanks for this list also--one nit-picking question, do we have the first pick of round two, or the last pick of competitive balance round A?  (Same pick either way it seems)

Nice work Luke. I was afraid Trejyn Fletcher would be way down or not on your list because there isn’t a whole lot of video out there and it rained all spring in Maine. What do you think are the chances of over slot on him and getting him to not go to college?

I wonder if bumping the Sox down in his table bumped the O's up.  I'm pretty confident it's 2.1.

I see he has Seth Johnson way higher then most that have him in the comp pick to early 2nd round area.  He is a guy i have looked into a lot small college so doesn't get the hype and just burst onto the scene late.  I see him in a similar comp to Jacob degrom although degrom got selected much later both didn't pitch or just a small workload in College.  I They both have real big fastballs as well.  I will be watching to see where he goes tonight for sure.  I doubt he slides down to us in 2nd round though wish we had a comp balance pick in their to help our chances but we got the 2nd half of those.

I’ll try to answer all the questions later, really busy with other stuff today. Sorry for any typos/grammar stuff, I was rushing to finish this.

I wanted to quickly note two exclusions from the list, one intentional, the other unintentional.

I intentionally left Graeme Stinson off because he lost all of his velocity and was down in the 80s and then was shut down and there hasn’t been any word on the medicals. He could range anywhere from 15-25 to 200+ depending on what’s wrong so I wasn’t going to try and guess.

Unintentionally I left off Tony Locey, he should be around 70. He sits 94-95 t98, big durable guy, average slider, has a split he doesn’t throw much. Like Ethan Small, he’s an SEC performer with a fastball that plays really well so that’s primarily what he throws. Both will need to develop their secondaries to succeed in pro ball. He’s lower than small because right handed and a grade less command although I think some of that can be fixed in Locey with a improved lead leg mechanics.
