Yes, a team that is likely on their way to a 2nd consecutive 100-loss season will find often ways to lose. 

We've seen it a gazillion times over the last 2 seasons.

Some of them are novel, while some seem familiar. Speaking of familiar, the failure to advance the runner after a leadoff double, when the team's in desperate need of a run, felt like something I've seen dozens times this year and last.

I vaguely recall that Verlander pitched for the Tigers in the second game of the 2014 ALDS. I don't remember the details, but I think it was a pretty exciting game. I do remember it started at noon, and Pickles opened (and was crowded) in the morning.
