Which one has the better Orioles career?

If Mountcastle walked more, this would be more convincing to me.

I think you may be overrating Nunez by quite a bit here

He's rockin' a career 99 OPS+.  Was 101 last season.

Nunez is a real solid DH but he's far from a guy you want to build your offense around. He's complimentary in a good offense, IMO.

Mountcastle still has a chance to be a guy more like Mancini, a real lineup anchor. I hope Nunez is Mountcastle's floor, but who knows.

You know, eventually, these guys have to play somewhere in the field. When I saw that awful play at third on TV I thought to myself briefly, “why is Nunez playing third?“

Yes, I know it was Valaika Who mis-played the ball, but that’s the kind of play I always expect from Nunez.

Nunez doesn't really have a position, which makes it hard to justify a roster spot, unless you are absolutely raking at the plate.  Especially once Mountcastle gets called up Mancini come back next year, its going to be a little hard to find a roster spot for Nunez, Mountcastle, Mancini and Davis.   If the Orioles are willing to move on from Davis, it might buy him a little time.

I think that's why I am comparing the two. Both seemed destined for DH

Edgar Martinez he is not. Still, 100 with 114 upside is solid IMO.

I say bring Mountcastle up, give he and Nunez DH and 1B. Give Davis about three spot starts a week
