ST Game 1 takeaways?

I missed the game but saw the box score. I’m wondering if there are any meaningful takeaways from the game? Only one game, not many people playing who have any chance to go north, but would love insight from the guys who saw and have good eyes?

I think Corn is confused because no one “saw” the game today.  Wasn’t on tv. 

I was happy Mancini got a hit!

It was nice to see Diaz crush one.  Looked like he was in good shape.

 

But there is very little to take away from most of ST, much less one game.

He walked at least once as well right?

Heck that's plenty of plate appearances to predict great things.

I'm just saying that's the type of dominate performance we need to see for him to force the issue.

Well there was no radio feed from the Orioles but I’m sure that somebody followed along with the Pirates feed. And I usually listen on the radio anyway, so listening to the game rather than watching it is rarely a handicap as far as I’m concerned.I was interested in what people said about how the guys looked.

Yep..how do you think he looked physically?  Looked like he was in good shape to me but it’s not like it was a great video of him either.

Eshelman couldn’t throw strikes. Only decent pitching came from three guys you’ve barely heard of.

I’ve heard of Rogers but I didn’t even know he was still with the club.

Certainly a lot better performance than if he struck out three times yesterday
