Gunnar Henderson 2021

Jeez, not sure if this is a thread about Gunnar Henderson and the merits of calling him up, or an opportunity to take pot shots at the old management and turn every success of theirs into successes that happened in spite of them.

With the draft coming up it’ll be hard to pass on Leiter or Rucker, but we could have our own Bregman/Correa combo with Gunnar/Meyer, Lawler, House. That would be nice.

I know we’re down on the MLB team and this season, but Elias has a chance to have a big day this upcoming draft.

I've read that House is more likely to wind up as a 3B, and I suspect that's also true of Gunnar.  It would be great if we could get a blue-chipper who is likely to stay at SS.  Meyer and Lawler may both be gone at pick 5.  I see that Kahlil Watson is climbing up the mock draft boards; I don't know if he is considered a true SS.  I would rather take one of the top pitchers (Leiter, Rocker, Jobe) than Matt McClain, the top college shortstop.

What about Westburg, does he look like he could stay at SS?

I checked on Watson this weekend. Some stuff suggests he'll wind up at 2B but it depends on how he develops and grows. Henderson has a chance to stay at short. Not sure anyone can be sure until you see how the growth and development affect each player.
