Of the players on the OD roster, who are you most excited about?

Mountcastle is the most promising young player, and Hays is a big wild card, so I will not want to miss their at-bats.  I have to say that I'm also intrigued by Ramon Urias.  He developed in the Mexican leagues for the most part, rather than the MLB minor league system, so we know a lot less about him than we do most MLB rookies.

It was Hunter Harvey unfortunately. Such is life as an Orioles fan. I’ll go Kremer instead. I’m confident that the position player talent we have in the org now can be part of playoff teams. I’m not so confident in the pitching. Kremer or Akin reaching their ceilings would be big.

Why harp on Sisco instead of Severino?

At least Sisco shares our pain with every HBP he takes for the team.

They both are equally awful. But a lot of people have been open about Severino while a lot say “oh, give Sisco a shot and see what he can do.” That’s the harp.

Also, he doesn’t share my pain.

I want to see if Sisco continues to struggle and people continue to say “give him time!”

I want to see if Sisco continues to put up a .360+ OBP, whether people will continue to say he is struggling with the bat.

He is the less frustrating defensively to me of the two catchers currently on the roster. It is starting to look like Sisco may not have the glove to stick at catcher, but Severino has has shown that he has neither the glove nor the bat.

I think it is most likely that if given the chance, Sisco will prove he doesn't have the glove to stick at catcher, but I want him to be given every chance this year so we know if we need a different backup behind Adley.

This is a great question... first, I'm excited to have a 162 game season to look forward to.  But that wasn't your question.

I agree with Trey Mancini for the reasons you stated.

2nd is finally seeing what Austin Hays can do given a full season.

3rd is Bruce Zimmerman.  He seems like he could be the real deal.  It would be nice to have another solid young pitcher (along with Jason Means) to anchor the rotation.

Are you suggesting Cumberland is better behind the plate?

If you squint with one eye and close the other, then yes.

But truthfully, no, I don’t think Cumberland is. But if Sisco can get a shot, then so can Cumberland, who was also a highly touted prospect. I’d rather see him than Sisco.

Severino strikes me as lazy (my opinion don't @me).  That to me is a greater crime than a lack of talent.
