Have not heard much about this guy but he is closing games for Norfolk and seems to be able to get AAA hitters out. Age 30 journeyman, 28th rounder in the Giants system, then goes on to pitch in Mexican League and independent before signing with O's as minor league FA. Seems to have pitched decently overall but hasn't been given a chance. K/9 is solid but not elite. Could he be next man up should a spot open up? Any eye test reports on the stuff?

Did you know he does a backflip on the mound when he completes a save?  That alone is enough for me to want him in Baltimore.  Beats shooting imaginary arrows into the sky.

Had to look that up. There are some YouTube videos of him doing it in Pensacola. Is he still doing it for Norfolk? Pretty cool but I would worry about him hurting himself. He is not a young guy anymore.

This guy really needs to be on the big league club. At age 30 could be his last chance but he's got a strong resume and is killing AAA. Maybe one of Mancini/Fry/Scott gets traded and opens up a spot on the 40 man?

It's absolutely insane. I wouldn't have believed it until I saw him do it.

I want him brought up and made the closer just so I can see him do that on a major league field.    Can you imagine how much the crowd would get into this?

Honestly I’m a little mystified why this guy has never gotten even a cup of coffee in the majors.   His MiL ERA is 2.91, he’s done pretty well in AAA In a couple of seasons there, and he’s got solid K/9 and K/BB ratios.

He pitches backwards, pitching off a mid 70s curveball but does throw 92-95 with the fastball. Mid 70s curveballs tend to not work as a primary pitch in the majors so I think there is some concern it won't work, but I think the Orioles are waiting to see if they move a reliever here at the deadline before bringing him up. He's earned a look for sure though.

I just noticed Dusten Knight is pitching for the Rays right now in spring training. Will be a major bummer if he has success with them. 1 IP, 0 R and 2 K's in today's game.
