   Reports To: Manager, Baseball Systems

   Job Summary
   This position is primarily responsible for the development and operation of a mobile application within the Baseball Operations department. This position will work closely with the Baseball Operations and software engineering staff to define, develop, and implement the app. The application will integrate multiple sources of information and video, both internal and external to the organization, into a single, centralized location. The incumbent is responsible for the full life-cycle of application.

2. Position: Area Scout, South Texas

   Job Summary
   This position will require applicant to identify and evaluate amateur prospects in the South Texas region of the United States in preparation for the First-Year Player Draft, in addition to other assigned scouting duties. This position will report through the Domestic Scouting department and work closely with all types of baseball operations personnel.

This is a seasonal position that is based out of Baltimore, MD. Preference will be given to candidates who can begin in the off-season, though summer-only candidates will be considered as well.

Maybe her grounds crew is old school and not down with all the modern analytic groundskeeping techniques

Getting ready for the WInter Meetings scrum.   One of the things I read recently is that as much hubbub will be made about Scott Boras not presiding in the lobby in December because the CBA is over is that in large part, they are the Hiring Time for aspirants looking to break into the game.

Regular plug that Sam Walker's book Fantasyland, published in 2006, is chock full of Sig stories from when he was one of those guys back at the 2003 Winter Meetings.

It seems the regime likes the word "fellow".

Preference will be given to candidates who can speak to the press with optimism, while silently suffering with abject failure. The position will begin in the off-season, though summer-only candidates will be considered as well.

I thought I heard she was traded for a couple of field maintenance prospects who aren't yet ready to lead a grounds crew but will work cheap. One of them may be ready to take over in a couple of years, or maybe three or four years. Or maybe longer. It's hard to say, and those who rely on the grounds crew will need to be patient while they grow into the job. 

In the meantime, those prospects will be assisted by half a dozen teenagers, with their own lawnmowers, who will mow the Camden Yards grass. They'll be paid the minimum wage, plus personalized Chris Davis, Ubaldo Jimenez and Mikhail Franco Orioles jerseys.
