Is it actually possible that Cedeno could be non-tendered? I find that very unlikely.

I'm not seeing it at all.

The Cubs will need someone to do just what Cedeno does, and it isn't as though Cedeno's '09 salary is pricing himself out of a job or anything.

If someone wants him in trade, then he's very expendable/replaceable. But there's no sense in opening up that minor hole for no reason.

As is often is, it's difficult to read what Kenny Williams is up to.

But it sure seems like he's seeking out the young/cheap end of any trade. Not to mention, Floyd is needed more than ever with Vazquez gone.

Why not?

Sherrill or JJ and Scott for Sonnanstine would be very solid trade for us.

If we did that and traded Olson and Walker for Pie and Marquis, they would be 2 pretty good trades for us.
