Here is my guess of what the O's will do:

1.  P Chris  Ellis to a AAA contract.  700K contract  if he is called up.

2.  3B/2B Josh Harrison to a AAA contract.  1M if he makes the team.   He can opt out if he doesn't.  He will compete for starting 3B and backup 2B.

3.  RP Collin McHugh  1/3.5m

4.   SP  Greinke  1/15m with a 15 club option for 2023.

5.   C   ????

I kinda feel like Greinke would prefer to retire than come to the O’s. He’s a competitive guy and uhhh….Baltimore isn’t.

The first 3 seem realistic though

There are going to be a lot of players that are going to have to take very small deals.  They have very little leverage with the season started so fast.  I believe there are like 300 free agents.

This is a good point. We might be able to find some bargains if we’re staying involved.

Am I the only one shocked no deals have been done yet? I honestly expected a handful of guys start signing tonight. Maybe tomorrow is the big day?

Yeah, I'm surprised nothing has leaked out tonight. Maybe by Friday afternoon we'll start to hear about some signings. Spring Training is just a couple days away.

I would like to see Ellis and McHugh.  Is McHugh worth trying as a starter again?

Harrison-the O's seem to be overloaded w/ guys who can play 2B/3B, plus I think he's not a long term fix.

Greinke, I'm a big fan.  Would the O's sign anyone for $15 mill?

Harrison is a one year deal if he makes the team.  He would push Gutierrez and Odor for the 3B job.   Not a long term move.

It was a surprise that the O's gave Lyles 7M. So anything is possible.   Greinke is a soft tossing veteran pitcher that can show the way to many of the O's young starters.   As far as would he come to the O's?   The O's will have to make the highest offer.
