Walks are my biggest pet peeve. 
 

This is probably an unpopular opinion but if Means comes back healthy and a team gets desperate I’d trade him for prospects. He can’t stay healthy. 
 

I love the ways Hays plays. Nice catch. I’m rooting hard for a walk off win tonight to brag about Elias’ team. Lol

Its almost as if people think rebuilding means you win later and that you can’t build a farm system well while also being good.  I just can’t wrap my ahead around the people who think this way.

We've had an expansion team win a world series in less time than it will take this rebuild to finish a season at .500.

And a lot of what they were far behind can easily be accomplished while winning and that farm system that was “so far behind” is top rated now.  
 

You have the pieces.  You have the long term payroll flexibility and you still have another #1 pick and top draft pool ahead of us. The rebuild is over.  Time to start trying to win.

Yes yes, virtually everyone except you wanted the team to be unwatchably awful again and for them to not make a single roster move other than to sign some geeks like Rougned Odor and Matt Harvey out of the dumpster. No one else suggested signing any mid-tier free agents or intriguing non-tenders, or making any trades. I agree except that there were others that allowed themselves to have an opinion that differed from what the Os were telling them to think.

Are you kidding me? We had the worst farm system in the league, we were non existent in the international market, we were a 100 loss team, we were one of the teams furthest behind in analytical department. Then you name 7 guys 2 of which are on the 100 loss team everyone is mad about. Mullins finally blossomed last year. Means can’t stay healthy, Hays played his most last year and hopefully continues. 
 

It was Bad Bad Bad before Elias arrived. Let’s talk about the return for Machado. People want to talk about Elias and his ML product let’s talk about the prior crew.

Building an Intl presence and an analytics dept can be done while winning games.  You don’t need to tank, much less for 4 years, to do it.

Could be Ellis, who pitched very well for Norfolk tonight.   Or maybe they tell Grayson he’s not pitching for Norfolk tomorrow because he’s pitching for the O’s next week.  I bet you wouldn’t throw poop if that happened.
