As someone shouting we have not done enough on the pitching side, I don't see how you can do that trade. If you're going to trade for a pitcher with a strong possibility of durability issues, it should not be one of the top 3. Maybe Basallo for a Tarik Skubal but even then I'd have a hard time pulling the trigger. It just feels like there's plenty of other players that could get traded instead -- including Cowser and Mounty. -
I went back to check the wording of the article. What it said was the "most anticipated" Nats debut since Harper. That seems plausible. Soto came along so fast there wasn't much time to anticipate his call-up. Wood had a very noisy spring training and has been crushing it in AAA. -

Matt Olson, this season, reminds me a little of Chris Davis. He could be a guy that rapidly declines. -
I made the case last year that Basallo's finish at A+/AA was better than Salas'. Especially Eastern/IL vs. PCL adjusted. But I didn't have a strong case vs. the age difference projections other than assuming SDP rushed Salas. Looks like as strong a theory as any at this point to me. Not MLBpipeline. -
