Because they had to use Tate and Perez for the 7th.  Hyde wanted the best relievers to face middle of order.  Then you hope Kreihbal can get through bottom of order.

I had a bad feeling about it and this Is why. Krehbiel is a pitcher you use the before the 8th inning in a close game.
