    • I agree with that and he's only two years out of high school. If Holliday gets back to his pre-call up stat line as you mentioned then he deserves serious consideration to be back on the Orioles roster. For now Mayo and Norby are deserving of being called up if the Orioles want to bring up a player from Norfolk.
    • I just want to riff on the term “elite athlete.”   To me, different people have different ideas of what level of quality is “elite,” and what it means to be an “athlete.”    For some people, “elite” means top 10% of the whole populace, for others it means top 0.1% of people who play professional sports.   Some people consider you “athletic” if you are very well coordinated and have good ability to learn skills, others don’t consider you “athletic” unless you could hold your own in the Olympic decathlon.   So a lot of times, people arguing about whether someone is an “elite athlete” are really talking past each other because they don’t ageee on what the term means.   To me, most pro sports players are elite athletes, and it’s just a matter of how elite they are.   In the case of Holliday, he’s athletic enough to be an awesome baseball player, and that’s elite enough for me.
    • Locked on Orioles podcast reviews 6 rental relievers (contract for only this year) who the O's could trade for. 6.  John Brebbia, White Sox 5.  Adam Ottavino, Mets 4.  Carlos Estevez, Angels 3.  Paul Sewald, D Backs 2.  Yimi Garcia, Blue Jays 1.  David Robertson, Rangers Listed in the order they appear in the video, which is also the host's view of their value--increasing to Robertson at the top.

Go to splits, select by month and then go to advanced. 2024: Mar/Apr:  5.25 May:  4.05 July:  1.16
    • Want to sweep this series. But 2/3 isn't the end of the world.
    • Right. It’s a screwup on their part.
    • The last column is IRS, which means “inherited runners scored”  Inherited runners would be IR and I am surprised that I didn’t see it anywhere in that column. This particular site has a different set of initials, IRS means inherited runners scored. I don’t think that can possibly be correct, because that would be a huge number.
