Once again, the Orioles at least split the season series with the Nats, and very possibly win it.   Now in 17 seasons since the two teams have coexisted in this area, the Nationals have only won the season series twice.

2006 Orioles 3 Nationals 3
2007 2-4
2008 3-3
2009 4-2
2010 4-2
2011 3-3
2012 4-2
2013 3-1
2014 3-1
2015 4-2
2016 3-1
2017 2-2
2018 1-5
2019 2-2
2020 4-2
2021 3-3
2022 3-1 or 2-2

Two things seem apparent to me so far.

  1. The O's are going to swing at almost every pitch
  2. The home plate ump is going to squeeze Tyler Wells

Seriously, what a piss poor approach to PATRICK CORBIN in the first inning. Dude is 6-18 and there’s a chance we make him look like a CYN tonight. The lack of plate discipline is terrible.
