For LA2, to save him the trouble of asking “what happened?” - Mateo hits a nubber up the first base line, Valdez grabs it with his glove and then tosses it from his glove to 1B in time to beat him out, with a tricky angle too.

Baumann starts are bullpen games the longest outing he had this year was five innings pitched against the Jays on September 5th. 

I agree with this move given the Astros lineup and the Orioles have a three run lead. Hyde needs to manage like the Orioles are in the wildcard chase until they aren't.
