Mullins had a 5 hit game on May 21st, but in his 14 games since then he's got 6 hits in 49 ABs (.122 BA) with 1 extra-base hit, 9 walks, and 17 K's. I don't think you want somebody who's that deep in a slump batting leadoff.

Probably not.  He's actually slower than Santander and doesn't play out there near as much.  I would think the Arm wouldn't be as good.

Then I'm not sure why Frazier isn't the DH and Santander the RF. Unless Tony is dinged up or something

No.  But Frazier is the veteran that Elias and Hyde are addicted to this year, and they just can't quit,  even when they should.

Not surprised with both them getting nicked up a bit.  They didn’t make any moves so far so that would tend to make me think they don’t expect them to be long term issues though.

I can see that, and maybe it is wishful thinking, but I liked his last 2 ABs yesterday. In the 6th, he hit one just foul that would have been a long HR and worked a long AB before taking a 3-2 pitch that was clearly outside and should have been a walk, but he got rung up. Then in the 8th he ripped a shot down the line that looked like a 2B all the way that Kirilloff robbed him of. Hyde may be playing a hunch based on that. I think he is coming out of it, but we'll see.

A couple olayers being dinged up kind of forces this defenses alignment. If they had started McKenna, and equal number of people would have gripes. If they brought up a AAA player just to sit on the bench after 1 game, people would complain about that too.

We go into battle with the healthy players that we have.
