It’s just completely illogical. It’s not like we can’t make room on the 40 man. He’s clearly performed better than those getting called up.

It's not illogical.

Just like it wasn't illogical to keep down Adley and Grayson.

I don't agree with the decisions but I can see the logic.

Agreed.  But IMO his slow bat was made even slower by Buck running him into the ground.

I’d say playing service time games with Westburg is illogical.

The O's not only have to have space on the 26 and 40 man rosters to bring up Westburg.   They have to have at bats for him to play regularly.     That is not what they O's just did.   I don't expect O'Hearn or Vavra to play a lot.

I'd say it as logical as doing it to Mountcastle.

It's him being risk adverse.

He doesn't need to bring him up, he doesn't need to add him to the 40.  So he won't until he does.

The Orioles have played 35 games.

Adley has played in all 35 starting 33.

He has caught 27 games or a portion thereof. 
He has been a DH only in 8 games. 
 

I don’t think I completely agree with how he is being used, but I also don’t think he is being driven into the ground with this usage. 
 

I do not think he is going to play 162 straight and would agree that would be a mistake.

I'm surprised they took tom out of the rotation. He was doing great as a starter so I would have thought they would want to use him as a starter, especially  because he is left handed and we have no left handed starters in the Majors.

He didn’t need to bring up Gunnar, but he did that. If you’re gonna play service time games, I’d do it with the #1 prospect.
