I hope that the Orioles would not be that short sighted with his development. He needs to be building innings from last year (not lessening) IMO. Given the project holes in the rotation next year (no Burnes nor Means) we will need the innings from him as a top 2/3 starter in the rotation. We have the prospect volume to fix the bullpen (at the back end) without having to surrender any of the top 4 prospects that we have. IMO I don’t think it would be wise to sacrifice the needed gains in his development for next year vs. being unwilling to part with players/prospects who have no projectable place on the team in the future. -

I'm sorry this post was downvoted by three people. While I don't agree with you, an opinion does not deserve to be downvoted. I'll be honest, every time I turn on the radio and listen to Newman say "highball" or "skyball" or not describe the action until long after the crowd told you what happened, does make me wish a bit he was still on radio. For all of Hunter's over the top "cheerleading" and statements like "Two-game hitting streak", he was very good at calling the action on the field. As for Brown, while he can be a little over the top in his story telling in times when the game at hand should be the focus due to the situation, he's a very good announcer in my opinion. -

I hate the six man rotation. We found last year that it really stresses the bullpen, which is already a problem this year. We also have fewer guys with options in the bullpen to manage rest this year. We need to pick a top five and stick with it.
