Baseball-wise, he's got a 5.00 ERA, his strikeouts are way down and his home runs are way up. If the Twins want to sell low, I'd certainly be interested to see if our pitching guys can reignite him. 

Yes, I’m aware of him being on the IL and his poor performance, especially over the last month prior to his IL stint.  I was being a little tongue in cheek in suggesting that the Twins would trade him back to us.   Obviously, his stock is way down.  But I wouldn’t necessarily be against reacquiring him for someone in the back half of our top 30, and seeing if we can fix what’s broken.  He was good in April and most of May.

Tate looked pretty decent tonight.  I mean, a few bad pitches too, but his last changeup for a K looked really sharp. 

Easton Lucas still impressing the hell out of me.  Hope he continues his success here at AAA, 1.59 ERA in AA (I know, not the best stat but still) before being brought up recently. 

Givens also looked good with a 1-2-3 inning against a pretty strong lineup for the Nashville Sounds (though I didn't take note of exactly who it was he faced, it's on in the background).

I also wouldn't be surprised if Connor Norby was traded for a solid pitcher, whether a reliever or in combination with someone for a starter.

How about an old Oriole Josh Hader??? I think we would really help our bullpen.

Givens and Tate are still a thing. Wandisson Charles, and Darwinzon Hernandez, are two live arms that could factor into this season.

None of those guys move the needle the way it needs to be moved.

Addition by subtraction is always a thing. If some bad relievers are being replaced by okay relievers, that’s still a step forward.

Ya think?!? Based on where he is and their mentality to go for it, cannot see a trade fit there.

The Yankees got "anonymous middle relliever" Clay Holmes 2 years ago a year ahead of our Yennier Cano acquisition.

For fun I'll scan K-BB's and maybe enjoy it more if any RP reinforcements are casual fan famous like say Giovanny Gallegos, but relief pitchers especially are murky waters where Club differences in analytics play big.

Yesterday, Geoff Arnold and Jim Palmer were talking about how Jason Adam was mediocre until the Rays figured out what worked and now he's good.    Most pitchers are disposable, unless they are bubble wrapped.
