Eh, it’s a division game, he’s throwing well.  Pitch count stuff is a bit arbitrary anyway.

Meanwhile in Minnesota we are seeing how fleeting success can be for pitchers. Joe Ryan was rocked again. He was one of the league leaders in ERA and now is almost at 5.00

I think Fuji has problems when he walks even the first batter...seems to fall apart...Ive seen it before...when he gets the out..hes much better...

That was a terrible job by Fujinama there. I have serious concerns about him being able to handle pressure/big spots.

I was fine with the Fuji acquisition but he's not currently a lock down guy and will probably never be that level of reliable with his command issues.

When he's got the stuff working he's great but you aren't going to get that every night.

Mateo has been doing these lapses lately.  Cant really say his defense is good anymore.  If his defense sucks what does he bring to the team?  Speed?  Just dump him already.

I think I am old school, but I REALLY hate that. A starter at 90 something pitches is not being pushed. They only pitch each five days.

He just needs clean innings. Is that ideal. No. But he can also give multiple innings. You have to realize his limitations.
