What's Jimmy Buffet up to these days?

Too soon?

Speaking of, I went to a game last season and Smash Mouth was in there for the Concert Series, and the lead singer seemed energetic and in good health. I never could have imagined only 1 year later he'd be gone.  He passed just a couple days ago only aged in his 50s.

It wasn't a surprise, he'd been drinking himself to death for years.

Glad you saw him when he was doing well.

It was a different singer, Steve Harwell stopped touring in 2021 and was then officially out of the band in 2022. Still sad but that explains what you saw there last year

Harwell had retired from the band in 2021.  So you must've seen the new lead singer.  Or it was longer ago than last year.

Edit: MijiT88 beat me to it.

Soon to be 74 but he will be back next year.  It will be rescheduled.

I'm seeing reports that the rescheduled tour will skip small markets because doctors say that playing in some of those places might worsen Bruce's ulcers. It will be just NY, Philly, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, Nashville, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, places like that. It's possible that there will be shows in smaller markets limited to Max Weinberg drum solos.
