Today's result has no bearing on my concern for the pitching.

Starting pitching and bullpen depth past the top three (two with Bautista out) has always the obvious concern.  Playoffs are a crapshoot and having at least two dominant starters is the way most teams make it deep.  Maybe we have those guys, maybe we don't.  Its very hard to say.  We don't have anyone with a history of being dominant, except Means and he will be coming back from injury.  Bradish has put up near Cy Young numbers but this is first breakout year.  Those two plus strong performances from Cano/Coulombe/Bautista might allow us to make a legit run.

He's terrible.  When the O's braintrust and players came out to talk to him I believe in the 4th?  Everyone was talking except the for pitcher.  He looked down and then walked away.

I think Baumann will be called up tomorrow.  Monday he will be in the minors for 19 days.   If he goes 20 days he will use his last option.  I think Elias would like to keep that option for next season.

Means probably is recalled to start on Tuesday.  

I think they DFA Flaherty and option Krehbiel.

For today's game they have GRod, Hall, Krehbiel and Irvin available.

I forgot about Baumann. Glad we still have him. Could we bring him up today for bullpen insurance? Grayson is not a guy you're going to leave in to "take one for the team". Baumann today for Flaherty, Means whenever for Krehbiel. If we are going to DFA Flaherty, might as well do it today.

I think you're going to have to see an Irvin piggyback today.  And get multiple innings.  Hopefully the game is one-sided and even better in our favor.  You should also see Hall today who could give you some 2 inning length if needed, and Webb.

Grayson will not be the one that taks it for the team today.  That would be Irvin if someone  is needed to do that.
