It is inexcusable for us to not play small ball because of our hitting slump.  Adley failed to do his job to execute getting the man on 3rd in with less than 2 out.

I think you're missing the fact that the comp was specifically about how the KC pen basically shut down the game if you were behind after 6 innings.

If it weren't for TB starting RH pitchers, I would say let McCann catch because he's more likely to give the up some lip on the strike zone than Adley.

Ahh, I see. Although by the very imperfect measure of blown saves they have 27 to our 28, both in the top third of MLB. By comparison, the Dodgers have 16.

The Orioles took 3 of 4 in Tampa a few weeks ago. It's about the moment. TB could be better, but they are not that much better. The Orioles picked a terrible time to have a slump.

There was definitely bad luck involved in those two losses. I agree, you win those two games and it's a totally different story now. Perhaps it's just the breaks evening out, the Orioles have had some luck this year as well.
