If that info is true and Seattle wants Parades and TB wants Woo or Miller, the deal would be done.

If this happens, I would bet on TB getting more back than just one of those pitchers.

I forgot Joey Ortiz existed today. That’s how loaded we are.  I really like Tyler Wells and his two seasons with an ERA+ 109, and 113. I think he’s a good bet to put up a ERA+ of 110. That’s basically what Cease has been outside of his huge year. Luzardo has been 125 the last two years. The slight upgrade over Wells just isn’t worth losing one of our big boys.

Would The Marlins say no to this?

Elias must’ve meant that we must like a pretty popular player that is going to go before we pick. Maybe 1st overall. We do not sit out the Rule 5 draft. Especially considering there is a minor league phase.

He was on Oakland and traded to the Marlins 2 1/2 years ago.    Who is the third organization?

Nice. Kimbrell makes sense. We need a closer for 1 season and he's a vet with alot of closing/playoff experience, and more likely to sign a short term deal.

SG just has no appreciation for guys like Santander and the Vets. He's under rating them.
