Thats rare.  Os never lose these things.

The guy who always won that escapes my mind (sure Frobby will come in shortly to tell me) retired a couple years ago.  Think our track record is more spotty since then.

Edit: Just came to me - Russell Smouse

They lost another one a couple of years ago.  And their top Arb lawyer, Russell Smouse, retired several years back.  He was undefeated, I believe.

Is it just me or does Hays at 6.3 seem a little high FOR THE O'S? I get the feeling we might move on from him if we can get value in a trade.

This is part of why we need to see what Cowser has to offer.

Since this is the arbitration thread I figured I put this here rather than make a thread for it.

So basically the QO.

He still has one more bite of the arbitration apple.

This is important because this is more on the high end of things and could relate to some of our guys.

It appears that Vladdy was a super 2 guy.

He entered arb in his third year and got paid 7.9M. He then was paid 14.5M last year and will basically get 20M this year. Next year he’s likely in line for 25-30M, depending on how things go.

So, that’s like 70 million that he will make, give or take.  Thats a lot and when discussing these long term contracts and potential pre arb extensions, some of these guys could look to these numbers.

The super 2 stuff really is huge.  Vlad is basically going to make about 20-25M more because of it.

He’s a little behind Soto, who earned $8.5/17/23/31 mm as a Super 2.   Vladdy is at $7.9/14.5/19.1 so far.

Luckily, Gunnar won’t be a super 2 guy..Adley isn’t either.

Holliday would be if they brought him up from day 1 and he stays up.

Bradish will be one next year.  Grayson probably will be one in 2026.   Kremer had the most service time (2.112) of any player who missed Super 2 this year (2.118 was the cutoff).
