Another one from the rumor mill - Stephenson

Let’s say that Wells is in the rotation as of now. So that leaves us where we were when we traded for Fuji. We will need another RH reliever. Webb was good in his “everyday Webb” role late in the season, but I wouldn’t count on that.

As of today,

Kimbrel (expect a drop off from Bautista)

Cano (ran outta gas around the ASB) (has options)

Tate (healthy?, has options)

Webb (no options)

Baker (ran out of gas in June, no options)

Baumann(ran out of gas in July, no options)

Coloumbe (no options)

Perez (found his way in Aug/Sept, no options)

Irvin (no options)

Depth

Hall (stays stretched out in AAA, has options)

Vespi (Good depth, has options)

Zimmerman (SP depth, has options)

Akin (he’s LH, has options)

Povich (SP depth, has options)

McDermott (SP depth, has options)

If we sign a reliever like Brasier, or Wells goes to the pen, then Baker starts in AAA. Baumman, Webb, and Perez would then be on thin ice, because they are out of options.

Sorry buddy but you’re all wet on DL Hall.  He’s a power lefty bridge to Kimbrel and a key late inning man.

Webb, Baker, Perez, Baumann all need to be upgraded IMO.  I’d be happy to see none of them pitch for O’s again.

I just don’t see the point of investing $10 million in another reliever. We should have a solid pen with Tate being basically an addition abd Kimbrel covering Bautista

I don’t think we can count on Tate until he proves himself in ST.

I don’t know why anyone would be comfortable with the Os pen.

Hell, go beyond the pen..look at the rotation too.

How many players do you comfortably feel are going to be above average in 2024?

but but but... everyone is guaranteed to  repeat their success in 2024 AND stay healthy!

I think we can …the Orioles people know whether he’s healthy or not,

Tend to agree here. Elias' comments about him + tendering the contract + video evidence at Driveline (or wherever it was) = I think we're in for a nice surprise.

I would love to know where you going to find 4 guaranteed guys to have ERA’s under 4 at.  They all had ERA’s in mid 3’s last year.  They might not all pitch as good as last year but just thinking there are 4 guys laying around in free agency cheap to replace them is insane.
