You got me curious to look at some of Cowser's zone judgement data. His strike zone awareness in terms of swinging at strikes and not swinging at balls overall is pretty decent. His chase rate is

Cowser beating out that 2 out grounder to first base completely changed this game. That hustle allowed holidays 3 run double and changed it from down 2-0 going into the 7th to being up 3-2. Huge hustl

Remember a large portion of this fanbase, who all back each other up no matter what, wants CC sent back down or at least played much less, and AS either not resigned period or just offered a QO.....which he will never accept.

This website is more cliquey than a freshman girls cheerleaders team.

All back each other up?  Ha.  Sounds like you're suffering from persecution complex.  Take two aspirin and call someone who cares in the morning.

Sure, but not all lefties. LHB are OPSing .360 against him and he's already a guy who doesn't do well even against bad LHP, so I think he should get ABs against most LHP, but late in a game against Scott wasn't an egregious move.

When you think everyone else but you is the problem, sometimes you are the problem. I did say that sending Cowser down could be an option if he continued to hit poorly. Fortunately he has had a nice month.

You likened a large portion of the board to freshman cheerleaders and then get sensitive over "you might be the problem"? That is rich. You are the one constantly violating board rules. Took you less than a week from your ban to bring up politics and get another warning. You are lucky you are still allowed to post.

      No Mayo again today, and I don’t like having three LH in a row at 5/6/7. Hyde is begging for a TB lefty reliever to come in and shut us down during a big rally.

      Elias went into this draft knowing he had young positional depth pretty much set for the next 5 years.   He also knew he would probably have to give up young pitching at the deadline.   We didn’t draft our first pitcher until the 4th round.    If he didn’t change his philosophy this year what makes you think he will in future years? He clearly believes he can replenish the pitching without prioritizing it in the draft.   We will see.

      I almost never talk about Cano here, but I must say, that last night's 3 batter performance is the very definition of clutch. I wont say more because I know that ANY pitcher can be great one day and horrible the next, but man, what a great job he did.He saved the day, is what he did. And while we are at it how about Kremer's performance coming back from that bruised forearm? Hell, we;'ve had GREAT performances from Kremer, Eflin, Povich, and before his last start, Albert too. Ironically, I haven't seen Burnes be really good in about 5 weeks.

      I can't remember a reliever we've had who's been as good as Cano who huge segments of the board seem to think is a fringe reliever. It's kind of mind-blowing. What does the guy have to do to get respect from some of you guys?

      Tony Of course it is valid to question the Orioles pitching  drafting and development. It’s obvious there is a lag in both.    But I think we make too much of it. It’s like criticizing the lack of a WS title.  If that never comes it will certainly be a valid criticism. But in rebuilding completely from the ground up it is clear they focused more on a foundation of player talent.    I think going forward more focus should be seen in this area just as we should rightfully expect more success in the post season.    If drafting stays the exact same for another 5 years he won’t be here imho. I join you and everyone else in hoping to see more pitching success from inhouse. But I am also more than comfortable in where we are today.
