Can’t show any stats to back up your opinion? Sucks when that happens.

Don’t you consider 4 hits, 2 RBI, 1 stolen base, and one DP started statistics?   LOL

Hey if you want to be accurate he had 3 hits and 1 RBI before, you know, someone hit a HR to actually stop the O's from losing the game.

I read it. You just provided some play by play recaps and your opinion.

No play in the game changed the winning probability by 33.6 percentage points. Not even the game winning hit.

If you can find a play in the game that statistically swung the game by 33.6 percentage points and from the Diamondbacks as favorites to us, I’d love to see it. If you can’t, that’s fine.

Westburg's game winner was +20 and his other hits were probably +10 each. Santander had the +30 but two more outs. I think Westburg comes out ahead cumulatively despite Santander having one big moment. Plus Westburg gets extra Gameball Points for the walkoff. Of course everyone is entitled to their opinion and there is a good case for Santander.

Per the terms of the thread, Gameball is completely subjective.

Clearly not. Never give your opinion if it goes against the hive mind or RZNJ will put you on an island. Anyway, this is boring and I have to work in an hour so I'll bow out and concede internet victory to him, so he can sleep thinking he won an argument on the internet.

Not when the win probability of those stats didn’t affect the game as much as Tony’s hit did.

Maybe you need a visual aid. IMG_6286.thumb.jpeg.e5e1560bd7942268968c73b78a25f47c.jpeg

Yeah, it’s like arguing with my mother in law. Kind of pointless in the end but she feels like she got a win.

According to Moose’s logic, Burnes could throw 7 innings of 1 hit ball with 16 strikeouts but the Orioles don’t score until the bottom of the 8th when Jorge Mateo gets HBP with the bases loaded and the Orioles go on to win 1-0.   Game ball to Jorge Mateo for changing the win probability the most.   Yea!!     LOL

I’d say Santander’s hit was the biggest of the day, but I think you give the game ball to the player who had the greatest total impact on the team winning, not who had the most impactful single play.
