There's not a while lot of evidence that most starters can't go at least 105 pitches before becoming an injury risk.  Maybe you handicap it because Bradish is coming off PRP on his elbow but you usually are pulling starters early because hitters are better at hitting against pitchers the 3rd time thru the lineup.

I think if a pitcher tells you he's tires you listen but if they seem ok it's probably fine.

Given that he's just a couple pitches short of his career high, I have to think he's done.   And the White Sox have 2 lefties in the next 3 coming up and our best candidate for 8th inning reliever is a lefty.   Pretty much a no brainer move.

You mean it's hard to go beyond 7 in the way modern day pitchers are treated.  His pitch count is very reasonable. It wasn't that long ago that starters threw more than 120 pitches before there was any concern.

Not 120 pitches that have to be gripped as tightly as they do now. Not with this type of spin and velocity, even hi velo on secondary pitches.

Yes, but that was the 80s 😉

Is his pitch count reasonable for a guy coming off a UCL strain and PRP shot that made him miss spring training and a month of the season? Would you throw him 20 more pitches in a game that means nothing in May?

Come on man, you know this scenario would be the same no matter who was throwing.

They already gave him his hand shakes and congrats. His day is done.

Oh for sure he's done after the 7th, just saying stretching him out to finish the 7th isn't all thay risky from an injury standpoint.

I'm talking specifically about Bradish. I think if he were completely healthy he'd probably get the 8th.
