My bad.   I think of a slump in terms of some sort of sustained period where you aren't performing well.

Very true. Happened last year. Which is why people shouldn't get so defensive on here when those critiques are made.

2/3 with Suarez, Povich, and Irvin starting would still be very good, though.

Steve, Do I need to wait until after 9 inning after the score ends 3-0 to bring my issue up?   Am I allowed to be disappointed that my team is losing?  Lot of people on OH don't feel good when we are losing.  Am I supposed to be apathetic and not care who wins, just enjoy the action by either team?   If I don't feel that way, it is not a crime!!

This is what comes to mind for me, every time we see really good pitching. 

 

Edit: When we do well against a pitcher who's been really good coming into the game/series, I get really encouraged.
