It's not that he has control issues.  He's not walking guys.  Maybe it's command issues, but for whatever reason he's getting hit hard.  The coaches will need to work with him, but I agree he should not someone the O's turn to in close game right now.  Bring Irvin back up and use him as the lefty in the bullpen until Coulombe gets back.  Soto should probably be the mop up guy until further notice.  But this is really Elias' fault, not really Hyde's.

Sure looks like in this case they should have, no?  Since coming to the Os he's been terrible.  Let him get his feet underneath him in some low leverage or blowout situations, build his trust and/or confidence up.  Argue all you want, results show it was a poor decision.

He’s walking guys, too. It’s control and command.

So his entire career is his Orioles performance and not prior.
