Gunnar and Westburg both did pretty well immediately.   Adley, Cowser, Stowers, Holliday, and now Mayo all had really bad initial stretches.

Adley, Holliday, and Mayo have come up with a ton of hype.  Cowser somewhat did as well.  I think that plays a little into the pressure they are under when they first come up.  Machado was a big time prospect but it was a surprise when he came up from AA.  They hype machine wasn’t in full force on when is he coming up.

NO GIVE BACK RUNS

And there weren't any.

We are 7/8 is shutdown innings in this series.

But I'm not worried.   As soon as we do give up runs right after scoring them, you'll tell us all how we never have shutdown innings.

When do we start to wonder why most of the Orioles prospects have really struggle when they come up? I get it that it takes a bit sometimes, but why completely clueless?

Why would they not instill that oppo approach, especially when it's clear the pitchers are pitching these guy there early on?

It’s essentially like a rookie QB in the NFL. Some will do well early (Stroud last year) some will look lost (Peyton Manning threw 28 INT’s as a rookie).

It seems like Mayo is just late on everything (even average velocity). Holliday was the same when he was up in April. Late, late, late

Oddly Kjerstad didn’t come up and suck completely as others and gets the up and down treatment more, of course this time around is the concussion but even if healthy wouldn’t be up as Elias is keeping Slater around for LHP.

Kjerstad was DHing prior to Eloy acquisition
