I've never called for him to leave. Not even close. Just 1 small criticism about a mistake does not mean running him out of town. Insinuating that, is just jumping to conclusions in a zero sum game mindset.

I didn’t mean you particularly wanted him to go.  There are a set of posters here that say he has to go etc constantly.  So sorry if you thought that was meant for you.  It isn’t his fault all the injuries the pitching has had.  Yet he will enter tomorrow’s game 1 game out of first place and still one of the best records in baseball.

Baker was sent down for Povich. 7 guys in pen. Akin went 2 yesterday.

People whine when he throws Soto or Kimbrel no matter when. Cano was done. The guy can’t win.

Oh, Elias has a lot of warts, too. Downright irresponsible to not have another BP arm called up. Rogers shouldn’t be clogging up a spot.

They’re a legitimately bad team right now. They would be lucky to not get swept out of the playoffs like last year whether it’s wildcard or ALDS. Pretty sad as a fan that it’s come to this.

Playoffs start in 6 weeks. Not now.

It’s pretty simple.  Good teams come up with big hits when needed, pitch well late in  games,  offense and defense in sync.

Os are not that team.  Every player is on their own program.  Gunnar still developing, Holliday not a complete player yet but exciting to see him develop, adley is lost, Urias finally getting some playing time,  Santander not clutch,  BP decimated by injuries and remaining group is leaderless,  Hyde challenged to inspire players, Mullins a shadow of his past offensive prowess etc. Deeply flawed team that believes it is better than it is.

Why do people keep saying Santander isn’t clutch

Elias has to be better at building a bullpen.

He absolutely does. He’s very adept at finding the above average arms, but incredibly inept at anything elite or even great. Coulombe is about the closest he got. But that’s only 1. And he’s hurt.

And he is still the reigning Manager Of The Year.
