I sort of agree with this. I think he believes in its importance BUT I also think he believes he can just bring in anyone and they will be good enough..so it’s important but only to the point where he does it on his terms.

I think they don’t put enough emphasis on what makes a pitcher in the pen successful, generally speaking.
