After 20 years in the booth together, Jon Miller and Joe Morgan are on the way out as ESPN’s broadcast team for Sunday Night Baseball. The network has declined to renew Morgan’s contract. Miller is being given the option of staying on as the play-by-play radio voice on Sunday night.

Thank god no more of Morgan but I'm gonna miss hearing Miller. Hopefully he winds up with TBS or Fox.

I know that Morgan has his detractors, but I always liked listening to him. For my money, Miller is still the best there is for baseball.

Somewhat a surprise re: Miller, although he is probably better on the radio anyway.

Miller is the greatest. I'd say that if it was not for Jon Miller when I was growing up, I would not have fallen in love with Baseball.

He made me prefer the radio.

I can't say that I like Miller much at all, having had little exposure to him doing radio for the Os. For me, I associate him with Morgan, and that ain't good.

This is horrible news; Jon Miller is one of the best announcers in baseball. If you’re going to fire Joe Morgan, you can’t consider replacing him with Bobby Valentine. That’s like replacing Edgar Gonzalez for Esteban Yan; either way you’re going to lose.

For those that never heard Miller on the radio - he was a great radio announcer. He could make a game in which the O's were losing big still interesting to listen to. I loved his Vin Scully impression.

Agree on Scully. It's mind-boggling to think that Vin's been the voice of he Dodgers since their IF had Gil Hodges, Jackie Robinson and Pee Wee Reese. Roy Campanella was behind the plate and Duke Snider hit 31 HR Vin's first season behind the mic.

Jon Miller is still pretty darn good IMO. Wish he was back with the Orioles.
