Wow. He doesn't need to work a day in his life ever again assuming he never pitches again.

Heck, you can probably get by with $500k at early age invested wisely and never work again.

Honestly I think there is a good case to be made for trading him before next season. I realize his value is low now but it will become even lower once he is stuck on the 2016 Orioles ML roster. I don't see how he is going to be successful next season with such little experience at any level of play beyond high school. If they play him in 2016, he will probably hurt the team, and if they don't play him, his skills will atrophy even further.

Maybe it's best for both the Orioles and Bundy for him to start fresh in another team's minor league system if the Orioles can get a significant piece out of the deal.

I think it is best for him to play as an Oriole next season as he is under team control until 2021.

How can he play in someone else's minor league system? If he is out of options it doesn't matter who he is with. He will be in someone's bullpen next year. Unless on injury rehab.

If the issue is forced, I'd be fine with him being stashed in the MLB bullpen next year, to see what he can do. Treat him like a Rule 5 guy you don't really want to play but don't want to lose. The Orioles are completely in love with Ryan Flaherty and they like MacFarland, I bet they try to hold onto Bundy even if he struggles throughout next year.

The DL stint length doesn't effect the length of rehab assignment. If they are trying to hide him than the DL is good but if he is going to develop he needs to be in bullpen for majority of season.

      These (insert what you want to) don’t lose either. If we weren’t 3-1 against them they’d be in first place. This is our real worry. Not the little stuff we stress over here. They have a Soto plus their bullpen didn’t lose a step after that trade.  Plus, they’re doing this without Cole. Bats are the easiest thing to buy at the deadline too.  If we’re on pace to win 107, they’re right there behind us. It’s probably Gunnar vs Soto for MVP.

      We will see Zac Gallen, who shouldered a tremendous load last season - 3250 regular season and 550 postseason pitches. Ketel Marte and Christian Walker are having big years, but no one in the lineup is really hot now.    Joc Pederson is a Ryan O'Hearn menace to RHP but we'll have both our LHP, and they have Randal Grichuk as a reserve.    Corbin Carroll's slow start is one of the most peculiar this side of Julio Rodriguez but of course he could explode anytime.    Bobby Witt kind of blew the contract benchmarks out of the water for great young players. Closer Paul Sewald has thrown 2 out of 3 days, and their 7th/8th inning guys both threw Wednesday/Thursday as they won a pair of 1-run games in Cincinnati to finish a road sweep. One of the riskiest things Elias has done is deem Adley, Gunnar and Grayson not strong enough to really try in 2022.    He had good judgment going to Texas, and I hope somebody's memoir some day gives a good account of that day.     All the good vibes now how they are fearless and confident - they were that way in 2022 as well.    What's incorrect in these power rankings: 1. 2024 Orioles 2. 2023 Orioles 3. 2022 Orioles 4. 2023 Diamondbacks, NL champions Yennier Cano and others will help now and in the future, but in fall 2022 Adley, Gunnar, Grayson, Kyle Bradish and Felix Bautista were all healthy and there's no guarantee that will recur any other year.

      These. He's gonna be on a short leash, but he's gonna keep going out there until we're not on the 107 W tract anymore.  He got two outs quick then grooved one that got crushed.  When that happens, they hook needs to be quick.  You can almost see him aiming pitches after a deflating hit or walk.  He doesn't look "natural" after that. Who takes his place?  Dunno.  What to do with him?  Dunno.  A pothole is likely in his future if he doesn't right himself, tho.

      The hardest thing about the June run will be we don’t have much flexibility in the pen. We will need to utilize Tate and Vespi more than likely. Hyde has plenty flexibility in the lineup.

      Kinda odd that every team in the AL has played more games than us and the Yankees have actually played 3 more.  I don’t know if the Braves have had any rainouts but they’ve actually played 2 games LESS than us. Bizarre scheduling thus far.
