That felt good.

Last night's loss still stings, but it stings a little less now.

That felt really good.

2 consecutive wins.

Now that stinging loss to the Padres back on Tuesday is but a distant memory.

A doubleheader sweep of the D-Rays.

4 wins in a row.

Really impressed with doubleheader sweep. Better get this next one before heading out to face the vaunted Padres offense :)

Baseball is funny. SD was historically bad on offense to begin the year, now they hit like an AL East team.

The Mets are on the verge of sweeping 4 games from the Cubs, the team with the best record in all of baseball.

In my rat's ass of an opinion, that is very timely for the OH.

The Mets were a slightly-above .500 team prior to their series with the Cubs, who are among the best teams in baseball. Granted that the Mets have much better starting pitching than do the Orioles, but the Orioles' offense is much better than that of the Mets. Also, the Cubs have better starting pitching than do the Mariners, so it's not like the Mets' offense was getting a break, by any means.

In a nutshell, it's par for the course over the course of the 162-game marathon season that is played every year in Major League Baseball.

Just a few days ago, it seemed to some like the Orioles' season was coming to an abrupt end.

And now ......

Gomez, Valbuena Help Astros to Sweep Mariners

1-6 against a mediocre Mariners team is so frustrating!

Right.

And the Orioles are 48-29 against everybody else.

Over the course of a 162-game season, I can deal with the "frustration" of going 1-6 against an average team if the team plays .623 ball in the rest of their games.

Well, last night was the opposite ...... the joy of winning a losable game. I was so nervous when Bundy had the bases loaded with nobody out, and the Dodgers had other opportunities, too.
