Looks like he will be an Oriole within the next week.

Betemit played his first game at AA last night. Two singles in four at bats. Two runs driven in. A few more games like that and Wilson could be the O's DH vs righties.

Betemit up; Urrutia down; Liddi DFA'd.

If Betemit hits with runners in scoring position then the O's score more runs. Maybe the O's are not going into the late innings with small leads.

The O's are 3 games back in the loss column with 42 games to play. That's a quarter of the season yet to play. The O's are still in the pennant race.

I have faith that Buck will make the changes in the pen that need to be made.

Wilson could help the offense be better.

Really going out on a limb there, hey WC? That's like me saying..."I COULD hit a hole in one this afternoon." I mean, hell, stranger things have happened, right? :D

In all seriousness though, Betemit and Reynolds as the DH platoon replacing Urrutia and Casilla on the roster is the way to go for the next 6 weeks. Hell, Buck thinks so much of Casilla, he used Feldman to pinch hit instead last night!

Is it because Feldman is used to the NL?

Betemit was just thrown out trying to steal 2nd base in the 4th inning.

I guess that's a good sign. Not that he was caught, but just the fact that he was trying to steal a base at all in the first place.

Again, Betemit was out trying to stretch a single into a double today.

Single to Rightfield (Our Trying to Stretch it to a Double)

And again, although he was thrown out, he apparently he isn't tentative about running full speed on his rehabilitated knee.
