I don't think we got KRod to replace the other guys already being used in those spots. I just think he is insurance if one of them falters, especially JJ.

Chen threw 119 pitches against the worst hitting team in all of baseball. I don't think its a mystery why he left him in, and I don't think its a big deal personally.

Says who? He replaced our 4th righty spot. I wouldn't use him over O'Day. It isn't like O'Day and Hunter have had poor seasons.

It was a big deal because of Chen's historical numbers after 100 pitches and the fact that he has a rested bullpen. If you want to manage like it's 1970 again, be my guest, but Buck needs to talk to Duquette and go to a 5-man bullpen and then he can play pinch hitting match ups late in games.
