Goodness, lot of these going around - apparently Oakland's Nate Freiman has one too. Can't believe he's about as good a player as Paredes. Luckily solid roster types know not to overdo it lifting weights.

If I read Roch correctly... he wasn't even lifting when it happened. He bent down to put some weights on the bar and strained it. ..it happens.

  Hyde is objectively bad. He makes bad decisions. I never watch the postgame because no one presses him. Anyone who asks pointed questions would likely be thrown out, so they soft-toss him. But why bring in Kimbrel after 28 pitches in a bad inning last night? I don’t know what explanation he gave, but there really isn’t one. It was just stupid.

  I agree with you Roy! It wasn't a save situation. Therefore, why was he in the game. I would look for another closer as well. I would make Craig a 7th inning guy.

  If the Os miss the playoffs I think the fire Hyde stuff might have some credence. I’ve always been impressed and will give him the benefit of the doubt. It’s been a rough stretch for sure, but the pitchforks are a little premature.

  I would be shocked if they don’t add at least one more reliever. Domínguez has upside but he’s not a bonafide back end guy right now. It’s been reported since May that the O’s were looking for a backend guy to possibly spell Kimbrel, so I am assuming they add someone that can do that if needed.
