Deflated Detroit...

They have Miggy for another 10 years but I wonder if they'd trade him if he was healthy. Probably not. I hope Mike Illitch has enough hair colorant to make it to the Tigers' next WS.

They traded Fielder not long after signing him to a big contract. Dombrowski is not afraid to make big moves in either direction. I would be kind of shocked actually if Miggy plays out his contract in Detroit. My suspicion at the time was that Dombrowski signed him with the plan of getting him for the first 4-5 years.

Back to the topic, the other side is that we could be ripe for a letdown series. Should not take any team for granted. Kind of like the Curse of Andino Sox series at the end of 2011, you never know what might happen with a bunch of hungry young guys.

Nope standard operations.

If Os come in thinking about where DET stands they will get swept

I get that the Os mindset does not change - I am speaking of the Tigers mindset - a perpetual contender that is blowing it up and raising white flag. Yes, they have talented team, but this could really deflate them this weekend.

They are professionals, most will play hard.

If anything, we should hope veterans are playing because if it's kids they are going to be plucky and persistent lol

Does Shane Greene get a start in this series? He really handcuffed the O's last year.

He's not scheduled.

Simon, Farmer, Sanchez, and probably Norris

The Tigers are selling at the perfect time. I would bet that more Tigers see the door before tomorrow (Cespedes). The team will feel a little bit low this week - finality of management saying we cannot get it done. Hopefully the Orioles take advantage. Beyond the fact that we don't have to deal with Miggy or David Price.

Beware of the wounded Tiger. This is a trap series.

Tigers are smart. They are retooling for next year and the future. meanwhile the Orioles will end of going for it, won't make it and will be left holding draft picks that if he history tells us won't most likely pan out.
