Do we know if he was at all connected to the rumors about their bullpen having toxic character issues last year? I guess he was mostly a starter last year so wouldn't have been connected to any of that? -
If last winter's Dylan Cease saga taught me anything, it's that even well-informed fans of other teams aren't likely to be as familiar with Orioles prospects as we are. By the same token, the Burnes trade showed that reasonable valuations are possible if you have patience. Remember that a large number of posters here were willing to let go of Mountcastle and/or Hjerstad then. I still am, it's just a question of the deal and the timing, and it's still a little early for me. -
Great post @Sports Guy he seems like an ideal target and the points you make about right handers in Walltimore make good sense. If they are willing to accept a package around Stowers then get it done now. -

Making decisions based on what happened in 2014 (ten years ago) may not be the wisest when none of these players was on the team at that time (many were still children). Sacrificing Grayson's development is not the only way to get a very good closer and it's probably not the best. We have plenty of young pieces/prospects (who are non-core guys) who we can offer in a trade. -

Kopech, AJ Puk, and Tanner Scott, are probably available now. With Suarez in the pen now, I don't think we need two relievers. Just one. That one guy should be a closer at the deadline depending on what's available.
