The Orioles received good news today on pitching prospect Hunter Harvey, who was shut down again yesterday from his throwing program.

The discomfort in Harvey’s right elbow is due to a mild case of tendinitis, according to an industry source.

Harvey had been cleared on Aug. 6 to resume flat-ground throwing after experiencing some stiffness in his right forearm that removed him from the mound. He complained yesterday of soreness in the elbow, which always sets off organizational alarms based on his Tommy John surgery in 2016.

Hand specialist Dr. Brian Schofield examined Harvey today in Sarasota and a scan didn’t reveal any structural damage in the elbow.

Is it even worth it to get 15IP out of Harvey in the AFL?  I say shut him down. Stop the constant state of rehabbing that he’s been in for 4 years and just give the guy a break. See ya next ST.

And get a Bundy -lite out of him?

Derrick Rose of baseball.  At this point I'll be surprised if he ever makes it to the majors for more than a cup of coffee.

At least Derrick Rose made it to the league and was an MVP.  Hunter Harvey is going to be lucky to get to the bigs and do anything significant.

I agree with one of the earlier posts, no rehabbing, no throwing, just hang out all offseason and come to ST rested.
