The Case for Joe Gunkel

I sincerely hope Gunkel gets the start.

At least with him there is the hope of the unknown. The faint glimmer that he may be able to get through 5 and keep us in the game.

With ubaldo, no such hope exists. I sincerely hope joe gets the start.

It's Ubaldo. Abandon all hope.

I wouldn't say 'no hope.' In his last start on July 28th against the Twins, Ubaldo went 5 innings and gave up 1 run. Certainly kept us in it.
