Tough not to like this deal on its face. We get Miley who, though unspectacular, is a legit big league pitcher. I liked what I saw from Miranda, but really tough to know if he could stick in the bigs anyway.

Given the level of quality being dealt at the deadline, it's tough to hate on this.

This gives us another SP. Buck can manage differently with Worley in the pen full time. Maybe pull a starter in the 4th or 5th and let Worley be the bridge to the back of the pen. That's a good role for Worley. Sounds crazy but Gallardo is pretty much a 4 inning SP and loses it after 75ish pitches.

I could still see us adding a Hellickson or E.Ramirez. DD would be a genius if he could unload Ubaldo.

I didn't want the O's to make any moves, mostly because I was afraid that it would weaken a really thin minor league system. But I'm ok if it's only giving up Miranda.

What would Helickson cost? Lots of teams in on him which can't bode well.
