His numbers remind me alot of Markakis first 4-5 years. I dunno. i dont think the White Sox would give Eaton away and he's never posted an OPS above .800 either. The O's should hit up some of the Mets OF prospects instead of Eaton.

The fact that the O's even made an offer to Trumbo I find very disappointing

We don't need any more high K, low OBP no defense players on the wrong side of 30

I really want to enjoy watching him flounder for someone else... like the Red Sox

Unless the O's bid against themselves I'll be surprised if he gets more than 4/60

Let's pretend O's sign Trumbo for $65M. Combined w/ Davis, that's $226M. Not Manny $ yet, but it's getting close to the ballpark. Perplexing

Please no, I enjoyed Trumbo this season but let him go. Let him go to the Rockies and hit moon shot homeruns there. That was a career season for him, let him cash in somewhere else. I'd rather we be moving Britton while the value for closers is at an all time high.

Trumbo was worth 4.2 wins age 27-30. People think he will be better 31-34? At the prices being discussed, he will need to be about twice as good over the next 4 years as he was the last 4 years just to be of equal value to this contract.

I agree. I'm not opposed to Mark Trumbo at DH if he ends up signing but RF and the top of the order is the perfect place for Eaton.
