Defensive Outfielder

I really want the Orioles to get a defensive outfielder. I think it needs to be a RH hitter as well and someone who can play CF. I know I will get flogged because my suggestion is not a power hitter, or a great hitter at all. But he is an excellent defensive outfielder. Peter Bourjos.

You would think he would be the target for sure.   OB% and can play serviceable defense.

Bourjos had hip surgery a couple years back and hasn't been the same defensively since.

I'd take him because, really if you think about it; he's the poor man's switch hitting Dexter Fowler

If it's for just 1/3 of the games, I could see a low-cost deal with Coco Crisp in our future.

You could probably get Michael Taylor for a low cost, he would fit right in with the offense (chopping trees).

I wonder if we could have traded Gallardo for Dyson?    The Mariners apparently preferred Gallardo to Karns and/or Dyson to Smith.    Dyson would have filled the bill defensively, and though he's not the hitter Smith is, he's been worth 10.4 fWAR the last 4 years.    However, it may be that the Royals were looking to get younger and trim payroll.

He's talking about Coco.

Taylor makes a good 4th OFer.  I doubt Washington wants to give him away.

I think the Nats would definitely trade him, not sure Dusty is a big fan.
